Sound x Ecka Mordecai

Designed by sound artist Ecka Mordecai and all housed in their own limited edition bottle designed by fine artist Ekaterina Adelskaya. With a background in music and sound art, Ecka arrived at aequill with a raw passion for scent, growing her sonic-olfactory art hands-on in the studio. Her interest in the transient and emotional language of sound and scent gives a route to explore the authenticity of each moment, drawing attention to events often overseen or missed. In her perfumes for aequill, she tells playful stories pairing the scent of honeysuckle green tea with the dapple of spring raindrops, or the honeyed warmth of mimosa with birdsong beneath morning sunshine. Always searching for idyllic moments in a chaotic world, her perfumes, like her music, provide the soundtrack to a cinematic freeze-frame, reminding us to slow down and appreciate the world around us.
